Discovering The Jewish Jesus' model of raising support for television broadcasting is different from many other TV programs.
Secular television (ABC, NBC, etc.) buys their programming (the shows that they broadcast), and receive their income from advertisers.
Christian television programmers, like Discovering The Jewish Jesus, on the other hand, have to pay to broadcast.
Each broadcast is extremely costly for Christian programmers. Many television ministries are raising the necessary
funds to broadcast by offering a different resource (i.e. book, CD, DVD, etc.) at the end of each broadcast.
Although we, at Discovering The Jewish Jesus, offer our teaching resources, we are not promoting the sale of a new resource each week to cover our broadcasting costs.
Instead, we are relying upon the LORD to simply move upon His people's hearts to support this ministry.
Simply put, our model for raising support is based upon building a trusting relationship and partnership with
those whom God has called to support this work for the building of His Kingdom.
The bottom line, Yedeedeem, is that without the financial support of the people of God, I cannot broadcast.
This is why Paul tells us, in 1st Corinthians 9:9, not to "muzzle the ox." Additionally, 1st Corinthians 9:11 tells us
that "when we receive from a ministry spiritually, we should sow back into it materially," and, in this way, the gospel can go forth from that ministry.
